As a concert singer Florian Boesch has appeared at the Vienna Musikverein, the Konzerthaus in Vienna and Berlin, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Dresden Philharmonie, the Zurich Tonhalle, the Düsseldorf Tonhalle, the Lucerne Festival, the Salzburg Mozartwoche, the Grafenegg Festival as well as the Bregenz Festival. His repertoire includes works by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Bach, Brahms, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Mahler and Pergolesi. He works with conductors like Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Sir Roger Norrington, Adam Fischer, Philippe Herreweghe and Ivor Bolton. On the opera stage he is sought after as an interpreter in Mozart, Handel and Haydn at the Salzburg Festival (Guglielmo/Così fan tutte), the Theater an der Wien (Bass/Messiah), Hamburg State Opera (Tiridate/Radamisto) and at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. In the current season he is singing Wozzeck for the first time at Cologne Opera. The baritone is one of the most sought-after lieder singers of his generation, performing at the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw as well as the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg, the Styriarte festival, the Edinburgh Festival and numerous other festivals in England, France, Italy, Switzerland, the USA and Canada. His recital of Schumann – Heine Lieder is available on onyx classics (piano: M. Martineau). A new CD with songs and ballads by Carl Loewe was released in spring 2011 (piano: R. Vignoles).
