The clarinet phenomenon Martin Fröst is one of the most charismatic musicians of his generation. He has given concerts at top venues like the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Vienna Konzerthaus and Musikverein, the Louvre, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels as well as New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and he makes regular guest appearances with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the Philharmonia Orchestra of London, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the German Chamber Philharmonic, Bremen. In the 2008/09 season Martin Fröst has played with the  Residentie Orchestra (Neeme Järvi), the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Bordeaux Aquitaine and the Czech Philharmonic among other orchestras. At the Mozartwoche in Salzburg in January 2009 he played the Clarinet Concertos of Mozart and Elliott Carter with the Camerata Salzburg under Heinz Holliger. Debuts with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra are scheduled for the coming season. Last year Martin Fröst was triumphantly acclaimed for his debut performance of Anders Hillborg's Clarinet Concerto at the BBC Proms 2008 with the Göteborg Symphony Orchestra under Gustavo Dudamel.
