crossculture workshops

France in the year 1789. Amid the turmoil of the French Revolution, the poet André Chénier, at first an ardent supporter, becomes a mercilessly persecuted victim. The opera André Chénier is a historical thriller crossed with a passionate, dramatic tale of love. The crossculture workshops offer participants the chance to get a feel for the historical events and to work out their own way of staging the scenes. This "Opernschlüssel" workshop can be very conveniently combined with a guided tour.

Festspielhaus

25 June to 4 July 2012
at 8, 9, 10.30, 11.30 a.m., 1 and 2 p.m.
Euro 6

crossculture dance project

Panta rhei – alles fließt! (World premiere)
Die Moldau at the Werkstattbühne

The music will be played by members of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. In the community dance project Panta rhei – everything is in flux, enthusiastic dancers from fidgety kids to sprightly grannies will take to the stage.

A co-production of the Bregenz Festival and Grazer Spielstätten.
With the kind support of youngCaritas Vorarlberg – Movimento.

Choreography by Monika Mayer-Pavlidis
The ensemble Acht Cellisten der Wiener Symphoniker
