Performances & Tickets

During a week-long workshop young musicians aged 17 to 27 work together with the Israeli conductor Daniel Cohen on their first concert. And they go to great lengths to impress their audience: Arnold Schönberg’s Chamber Symphony No 1., which paved the way for modern music, can be heard as well as Béla Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra that demands grand virtuosity and a fiery passion from the musicians. Additionally, they rehearse a selection of Richard Strauss’ orchestral songs together with soprano Marlis Petersen. The Orchestral Academy was established in 2022 by the Bregenzer Festspiele and the Wiener Symphoniker in cooperation with the Stella Privathochschule für Musik. It is a pioneering initiative for the support of promising young musical talents.
